Cool Hey Dudes , Come on what about the one and only Willie Lindo , His Vs Of Santana SAMBA PATI is just the best reggae cover ever , and i played the b side of ken booths everything i own DRUM SONG as much as the Kens A side , and his instrumental version of holly holy played loud is mind blowing.

Willie Lindo's version of SAMBA PA TI is also on his 1976 "Far & Distant" L.P. Carlo (the only place I have it) and it's a cracking version of a cracking tune.

The Fabulous 5 Inc. also did a version, which I know as the B side of the OH DAD singla (Ashanti ASH417 / 1974)

I keep coming back to this with the intention of filling it out, but my brain just doesn't work when I look at it all. Plus I don't have a clue as to what musicians are called and what they play (apart from a few 'biggies')

No problem, Pete - it looks like nothing will happen with this anyway - but it's always great to others' list of favourites.

Smooth, Pete Cool

That's one I bought in early 1970 and with tunes like RAM JAM, FEEL LIKE JUMPING, EVERYBODY RUDE NOW and 9 other corkers, it's well-deserving of the place at the top of your list.

That LP was probably the very first place I heard all 12 of those tunes Wink
