Hi All, my name is Les and I own and run Blighty Beat based in Leamington, we are into music and subculture. I am a big time vinyl fan and have been told by my wife that 6 record players is far too many, thankfully there is no limit on how much Vinyl I can have.

Welcome Les - grand to see you here.

We're Reggae and Ska fans in the main but we do stray into other genres - I know I do, as does Charlie Chalk (Andy Lambourn), who is one of the experts on the 45cat site. And of course we love our vinyl.

As for record players, I agree that you can never have too many. I have just the two these days (a Technics 1210 and a Vestax portable) but it's only my wife who limits me from having more. But you can't expect women to understand these things can you Rolling Eyes

Thank you for the welcome. Ska living so close to Coventry was a staple music for me in my teens. I have always enjoyed Reggae and have recently bought a job lot of 45's, - so many labels in Kingston - which I am working through and that means cleaning them too. I have a few Vintage Record Players Dansette Temp and a Bush SRP, nothing like a 45 on an old player. The rest are Technics and a Yamaha PX2 Linear.
I was talking to a Trojan clothes rep at MODA Exhibition, which got me looking on-line for this site. If I find anything interesting in mt vinyl, I will be sure to post it on here.

Hello and welcome Les. I mainly collect 7" singles, but only possess two turntables (like Marc).

We're a friendly bunch here, so do join in.

Thank you for welcome messages. Charlie I will have a browse on your eBay for vinyl, there is some great stuff out there. Two turntables is plenty, I just get too attached to them.
I shall have a delve in to the forums and read some of the topics, and if I feel brave get writing.

Welcome to the forum, Les.

I've been a JA music fanb since the late 60s, though I had a few years off in the 70s and early 80s (thanks to Soul-Disco and Club) and then again for most of the 90s (thanks to the mainly dire JA music of the time).

Still kept almost all my vinyl though.

P.S. I have only the 2 turntables.

...and a USB deck that I've nowhere to put Confused
