Gale Garnett

A tune(her most famous), my dad played to death, when I was a nipper.....Here's an African tune, she did, which was also done, inna Ska style, by Lord Brynner:

I've never knowingly heard of Gale Garnett, although I'm familiar with WE'LL SING IN THE SUNSHINE...presumably another version.

MALAIKA is a decent song.

The Lord Brynner version is a stonker (not a stinker!)

Spot on, about the Lord Brynner! I don't think, he ever released anything, less than stonking. At least, that's what it seems, based on, what I've heard. Smile

CONGO WAR was the first tune by him I heard (on Trojan's "Ride Your Donkey" LP)...

...he didn't look much like his brother Yul, did he?

Top shelf, tune! A favourite of mine, for the better part, of 20 years. First place I ever heard, I think, was on the same LP. Wink
