Almost bit someone's hand off for this one. A side's ('Be Loving To Me') is a bit stringsy but quite nice.
A tune I only have on the "Black & White, Best Of..." CD.

Familiar riff - I presume this was "borrowed" from the KB song - rather than the other way round?

I think so, and I'm a big fan of the KB. That's a useful little CD too, which I pulled out last night. Shame it doesn't have the great 'Sky High' on it, which was a particular favourite of MdeK (RIP). I remember having IAWIA from Nan's pub juke box back in `72 but the particular pressing was pretty awful (as were a lot of main Trojan label 45s) so it went somewhere along the way. I might see if I can replace it for the SH side, with a better press of course (the 'thinner' one is the better).

Great stuff!

Love that guitar lick, weaving in, and out, and in between those organ licks.....Leaves a man, well, pleased, and satisfied. Wink

As for the flip, "BLTM", is one of the few, sweetened Reggae tunes, I do like. Smile

Yes. I got that CD for super cheap, and it's been one of my better CD purchases, over all. So much good music, was put out, by Greyhound.....This KB, no exception. And, "Sky High", is one of the best UK Reggae instro's ever!

Greyhound-Sky High

For me, you can tell, times have changed, riddim-wise, but that organ playing, harks back to the moon stomping Skinhead times, when they were fresh, and new! Cool Cool

...and by 1972, the Skinhead fashion had all but faded away, with some become Suedeheads, others turning to the by-then-in-full-swing Glam Rock and others "jumping off that bandwagon".

The point being that SKY HIGH would have been a Skinhead favourite had it been released a couple of years earlier...

Yes after listening to the shortish sound clip it doesn't really do the song much justice Zap. From memory it's a fairly long track which kind of builds & builds & then it's let loose with some really cool percussion instruments over that relentless bass line Very Happy

I'm hoping this 12" will be the extended mix Exclamation

To be honest, I didn't let it get much past digging out the foundations!

Laughing

I placed orders for Peter Tosh's remastered, reissued, extra tracks edition of Wanted Dread & Alive https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000068G1A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

once again to replace my worn LP.
Also ordered Soul Sugar - Chase The Light on CD from Juno & apparently Amazon.com is 'shipping today' my Freddy McKay CD Very Happy
