Great film John which I've seen a few times (probably the first in about 1979).

The camp they filmed it in was stayed in by my M-in-L around 1958 - she recognised it immediately when we watched it years ago, although I can't recall where it was.

Please Sir was required viewing in the 70's wasn't it? The film was better than a lot of other TV spin offs.... Surprised

I remember the "benny" like character in the film, he was in trouble because he went to the camp with a forged signature, turns out his dad could not read or write

Definately in my time. Absolutely loved it, right from the rousing opening credits. And, although she was a bit older than me, I rather fancied Billie when I should've been fancying Tiger Rolling Eyes
