G'Day everyone.

Moved to Oz in 72 with my parents, top place.
My first album was Wonderful World Beautiful People, been mad about Reggae ever since!
you think its hard to find in England Crying or Very Sad

A Question about Itune down loads.
Why are a lot of Trojan albums listed as "Partial Albums"?
Music City is one example, you can buy tracks 1 to 96 for $1.69 each but cant get the whole album, any ideas.
Trojan UK Hits Box Set is another.

Regards
ReggaeRoy

Hey Mate,
You might as well by the whole package at that price it would be cheaper and you get the book to read as well. I think i paid about $70 or $80nz so almost the same in your aussie money might be a little more now but still the package as a whole is fantastic.
And by the way hello form NZ.

Yeh at that price per track, it is crazy.
But other albums have an album price from $10 to $20.

I did ask around itunes about the "partial album" thing, and it seems the problem is with the company that put it on itunes ?
Thought someone here might be in the know!

Roy

Welcome to the Forum ReggaeRoy Smile It was possible to get Musik City off e-bay quite recently for around 20 Sterling so I'm not sure whether you still can and if so how it compares with the I-tunes price. For four CDs (100-odd tracks) and other bumf I'd say it was well worth it, even if you ended up paying a bit more.

Welcome to the forum, Roy Smile

Can't help with the iTunes thing - I don't buy tracks to download, so don't really know what "partial album," means - maybe there are licensing issues since Universal took over the catalogue (Universal are touchy about the paperwork being "spot on"), hence to being able to issue all of the tracks online?
