Be warned though....I picked up a pristine copy of the '76 Eve Records LP, and some of the tunes sound as if they were gleened off less than optimal sources, BUT.....I like snap, crackle, and pop....so there you have it.

However, I would like the think that PD will do the utmost to clean up that white noise, for today's picky, grousy, casual listener....Mr. Green

I only got a few releases on Pressure Sounds (two 2LP's and a 45 if I'm correct), but I really like the style of the label.
They really take effort in their artwork and have a great quality (though I've heard some complains 'bout the sound quality of a few songs).

Pete Holdsworth is the fellow behind Pressure Sounds - he knows his stuff.

There's sometimes a compromise to be made between having a tune issued and out there and the fact that the master tape or whatever the source is isn't in the best shape, saound-wise.

Pressure Sounds' website is easy to navigate, with sound samples on many of the tracks, ordering is straightforward and the delivery service is almost always excellent.

Plus you sometimes get a freebie 7" single or CD thrown in as well.

I played side 1 today, and sound quality was generally pretty good....... except tracks 1 and 6 were a bit heavy on the treble which brought the hi-hat to the fore. I have track 1 on a 45 (titled Horns Of Paradise) and it doesn't sound like that on there..... Rolling Eyes
I'll spin side 2 tomorrow... Wink
