I quite like the ahem! bits and pieces of Teena Marie that I've got, some Motown, the "Ivory" LP and a "Best Of..."

Last week I bought her final album, "Congo Square" in a charity shop - I thought that for 99p, it had to be worth a punt Wink

I haven't played it and can't at the moment and am just wondering if I should look forward to it or if it's a wasted quid and I should give it to Fido!

My suspcion is that it might be a bit easy on the ear...

Before I get round to playing it, does anyone in here have it or has heard it...?

That's one of the best things about this forum - helpful members! Rolling Eyes Very Happy

I should remind you however, that this is a Reggae forum, so one might expect members to have more of an inclination towards that music form! Wink

Joe, the Congo Square lp by Teena Marie [R.I.P.] is a ok album IMHO.
Actually it is not as great as her albums on either Motown and Epic records.
For me the best tracks on 'Congo Square' are Can't Last A Day, Ear Candy and The Pressure.
My only criticism of this lp it is to ballad oriented. What i am really saying is.
The Congo Square album should have had a mixture of uptempo and midtempo songs.
