Yes, STOP THE WEDDING (different to the Etta James song) is nice - I reckon "Paulette" is Paulette Williams, but would stand corrected.
I loved HOLD ME TIGHT since before I knew the music as Rocksteady, it was (and is) such a catchy tune. _________________ Play it nice and cool, son. Nice and cool! You know what I mean.

...and there weren't too many other "Paulettes" on the JA music scene back then |
I get confused with this. I've seen her credited as Paulette Morgan, and I get her muddled up with Patsy Todd. I'm not convinced it's Paulette Williams. | Paulette Morgan's early Ska efforts were high pitched, and sounded a lot like Patsy Todd....
This sounds like PM on "Stop the Wedding"....

Using this tune as a comparison to "STW"...you can tell there are differences in vocal delivery....Williams has a more nasally sound...
In any case....I like all the singers! _________________ It seems that our brave new world is becoming less tolerant, spiritual and educated than it ever was when I was young.

Nora, and Cecile have voices, I wouldn't think, should pair well with voices that weren't similar to theirs....but they do, it works, and I like every Ebony Sisters tune I've come across.... _________________ It seems that our brave new world is becoming less tolerant, spiritual and educated than it ever was when I was young.

In later years, Claudette Miller was a member of the Ebony Sisters. |
According to Chris Prete, Paulette was an Ebony Sister....but Pama did mis-credit often.... _________________ It seems that our brave new world is becoming less tolerant, spiritual and educated than it ever was when I was young.
