Just released on Hot Milk

Excellent sleeve notes courtesy of David Katz.

Thompson and Brown around 1980 is surely a winning combination.

I've bought the CD (it had to be "worth a punt"), but haven't played it yet.

It's spinning right now! What a cracking reissue it is too, shame it's so short at 47miins,reckon they could of beefed it up a bit,but hey,a very welcome addition to my Barry Brown albums Cool Cool

I found it father similar to all his other releases, I'm normally a big fan on Linval's productions, but for me this could have been any of the other 10 + Barry Brown albums I have. He doesn't put a foot wrong vocally, but it just didn't set me on fire

I like much of Linval's productions too, but this was only the second Barry Brown album I bought - I have a good scattering of his tunes on various compilations.

hmmmm just checked I have 14 barry brown albums or compilations, so it's possible I've heard too much of him

I have to say his quality never dips, but neither do many tracks shine out as amazing

14 albums could be too much of any one artist though

...unless it's Luciano, who's done almost 60 albums in a bit over 20 years, I think Wink
