http://www.amazon.co.uk/Their-Greatest-Misses-3CD-Box/dp/tracks/B00LVXWSCI/ref=dp_tracks_all_1#disc_1

5.74 as I type.

Some good/interesting tracks, if you're so inclined...and I'd go as far as to say that, musically, OH NEIL (Carole King's identical answer song to Neil Sedaka's OH CAROL) is better than Neil Sedaka's hit:

Disc: 1
1. Under The Moon Of Love - Curtis Lee
2. Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide - Marvin Gaye
3. That's All Right - Elvis Presley
4. The White Rose Of Athens - Nana Mouskouri
5. Angel Face - Billy Fury
6. Who Do You Love? - Bo Diddley
7. Teen Scene - The Hunters
8. Heartaches - Connie Francis
9. Blue Days, Black Nights - Buddy Holly
10. Some Other Guy - Richie Barrett
11. Ring-A-My Phone - Brenda Lee
12. Girl In Saskatoon - Johnny Cash
13. And Then There Were Drums - Sandy Nelson
14. W-O-M-A-N - Etta James
15. The Gypsy Song - Tommy Boyce
16. As Long As I Live - Jackie Wilson
17. Will You Love Me Tomorrow - Mike Berry
18. It's Sure Gonna Hurt - Dolly Parton
19. Mister Lonely - The Videls
20. I Want A Guy - The Supremes

Disc: 2
1. Twenty Flight Rock - Eddie Cochran
2. Summertime - Sam Cooke
3. I'm Gonna Love You Too - Buddy Holly
4. Twist Little Sister - Brian Poole & The Tremeloes
5. Oh, Neil! - Carole King
6. Tell Laura I Love Her - John Leyton
7. Spanish Lace - The Four Seasons
8. A Night At Daddy Gee's - Curtis Lee
9. Fujiyama Mama - Wanda Jackson
10. Turn Around, Look At Me - Glen Campbell
11. My First Real Love - Connie Francis
12. He's Old Enough To Know Better - The Crickets
13. Sometimes I Wonder - The Drifters
14. The Feeling Is So Fine - The Miracles
15. It's Just A Matter Of Time - Mike Berry
16. Keep A-Lovin' Me - The Everly Brothers
17. High School Confidential - Adam Faith
18. The Shape I'm In - Johnny Restivo
19. You Can't Catch Me - Chuck Berry
20. Doomsday Rock - Tommy Steele & The Steelmen

Disc: 3
1. I Love You Because - Elvis Presley
2. Lover Please - Dennis Turner
3. Baby Sittin' - Carole King
4. Talkin' 'Bout You - Ray Charles
5. Jet Black - The Drifters
6. Makin' Love - Vince Eager
7. Hot Dog! That Made Him Mad - Wanda Jackson

Reissue of the classic Deep Soul album from 1975 (with several tracks from earlier years)...I probably didn't buy it then because I was more into uptempo stuff at the time - very pleased to have it now.

1. Child of the Streets 6:15
2. The Show Must Go On 3:25
3. Come Back Strong 3:03
4. Just Out of My Reach 3:29
5. Claim Jumpin' 2:50
6. Troubled Child 3:42
7. What's It Gonna Be 4:45
8. Worn Out Broken Heart 3:19
9. Good Guys 3:17
10. So Tied Up 3:45

That top one looks interesting but again I can do without 'Jambalaya', 'Tell Laura I Love Her' and 'The White Rose Of Athens'.

I really like the look of this one - and a bargain price - it's on its way Very Happy

Aaron Neville - My True Story.

just because I'm getting used to this man's voice, and what a singer. A pretty cool album where Aaron Neville covers his favourite Do-Wop songs in his own style.

He has a great voice, although I'm a little wary of albums of cover versions (although "GI sings DB" and "DB sings GI" are excellent), especially Soul ones...but it's on my Amazon wish list, so I can listen to the clips properly again Wink

Agreed Joe. Trouble is, there's a few sets I've already got my eye on which I just don't ever get round to buying. If and when I do, I'll post them up.

Stick it on an Amazon wishlist, Marc - you never know, a gentle prod to Mrs. B or Bosssounds Jr., might realise a Christmas present Wink

Chaka Khan - Original Album Series ( Rhino 5cd) ... from Amazon Mkt Place 10

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Original-Album-Series-5-Pack/dp/B003097B6E

I've been meaning to buy this for a couple of years now .... so finally done it!! Cool
The set consists of 5 early albums which aren't remastered and haven't much as far as sleeve notes go, just mini replica card sleeves, but the actual music, especially on the first three albums is good stuff.
I used to have the single 'I'm Every Woman' which I leant out and never saw again!! Rolling Eyes .... as you do!

I liked the early Chaka Khan/Rufus stuff at the time, and fancied her something rotten too... Surprised

I have several of those "Original Album Series", although not the Chaka Khan one - they're a great idea and are pretty good way of picking up some early albums you might have missed.
