At last.. A Reggae night in Reading (Caversham actually) with myself and Martin Weller on the decks. Jim Donovan is responsible for getting this night up and running and he'll also be spinning tunes as and when time allows.
The pub has an amazing selection of Real Ales, with guest ales added regularly. Walking distance to Reading Station too... Wink

Wow! I thought I had heard of the "Fox & Hounds"......It's one of the earliest pubs that sold pale ale, and India pale ale.....Simonds brewery used to own it....And, they've been named 'pub of the year' by CAMRA for the Reading & Mid-Berkshire area....Not to mention they're also in "The Good Beer Guide"......Very interesting!

Here's a photo of the interior:

And, a link for the pub......Should be a loverly time! Jealous I won't be able to attend...... Laughing

That's the other reason I knew about the place....Paul and John from the Beatles played there.....I worked at a British pub in RVA, called Penny Lane.....PL being owned by Irish-Liverpudlians, crazy about the Fab Four..... Embarrassed

I think you lot have a wonderful place to call "home".....I'm hoping the punters will come out, and support the place.....The location should be ideal for some selectors from near the city, to show up.....It'd be neat to have a Reading vs. Oxford do, or "60's sounds vs. 70's sounds".....That sort of thing.....Regardless, you can't be the location, or venue!

The family that owns the F&H seem like really swell folks, from what I've read....

Smile
