I really liked Scotty's DJ style, especially on Clean Race (I think the first one of his I heard)... Only 51?... Sad

Very young - very sad.

Here's one of his I particularly like. 'I Count The Tears' by David Scott b/w 'Count The Skank' by Scotty:

You don't find the same artist doing vocal and DJ cuts on the same disc too often!

However, if you like your Pop Music, here's a version by The Aces (not that one!):

Original by The Drifters I believe.

A great thread! Scotty is one of my favourite Reggae singers, and DJ's......I absolutely love his toasting style! Intelligent, and fun! The only other DJ's that move me the same way are King Stitt, and Dennis Alcapone.....

You can't listen to Scotty toasting over a tune, and not smirk a bit, at something he said, as it was rather clever, and funny....

A shame he died so young..... Sad

He had a certain wit about his toasting, although his DJ style wasn't the easiest to get to like...

I can see that....The "Trojan DJ Box Set" is what got me to appreciate him.....Like you say, his toasting has/had that wit....And, I like wit.....Be it cerebral, or beer! Wink
