One I have on the wants list.....I think I'll move it up, a few slots, though. Thanks for the review, brig! Get well soon! Wink

Morning all, finally gotten over the flu bug and feeling back to normal, if I ever was normal. Today's Pressure Sounds title is another Lee Perry compilation, but as with the last few Perry titles this is again a fabulous outing of dubplates and dubs with alternative cuts. Sounding great from the first track onward this is one of those albums that should easily find itself on anyone's playlist.

Lee Perry - Mr Perry I Presume

George Faith - Don't Be Afraid (12" mix)
The Gatherers - Word (Acapella mix)
Lee Perry & The Upsetters - Jah I
Joy White - Lay Besides You
The Upsetters - Big Bird Skank
Noel Robinson - Along The Way
The Upsetters - Along The Way Version
The Upsetters - War & Peace
The Upsetters - Sun Is Shining (Dub Plate mix)
Peter & Paul - Ethiopia Land
Keith Rowe & The Upsetters - Groovy Situation
Susan & Bunny - Keep On Trying
The Upsetters - Police & Dub
Keith Rowe & The Upsetters - Living My Life
The Upsetters - Devils Dub Plate
Augustus Pablo & The Upsetters - Keep On Moving

Thanks, Brig - glad you're feeling better (just got over my first bad cold of the season myself, knocked me over for 4-5 days).

I recall enjoying this set as well, but haven't listened to it in a while. Pleased to have got it!

Another set, I plan on getting. And, after briggie's review, it's another, I'll move up the list!

Glad you're feeling better, too! Wink

Morning all, just got back from Christmas Card deliveries, think we're on top of all this Xmas malarkey now. This week's Pressure Sound update is a full on dub album. I've listened to this album a couple of times now, and even have it playing while type this, and while the dubs are pretty good I just find myself not getting fully into them, yet when a vocal cut is followed by a dub I always love that, a reason why I was a huge fan of the 12" single back in the 80s. Since I bought a new NAS I now store every album on there, but I can't see myself hunting this one down to play, although sometimes I do hit the Reggae/Random button so a track might appear then. Right, where's next week's album......

Skin Flesh & Bones - Dub In Blood

Dub In Blood
Skin Dub
Flesh Dub
Bones Dub
Heart Dub
Dub To The Vein
Injection Dub
Syringe Dub
Doctor Dub

I pretty much, came to the same conclusions, over this album. Wink

Merry Christmas all, got that nasty flu bug back again this week. Feeling a bit better this morning but not 100% yet. I'm hoping plenty of Irish Cream Liqueur will help out over the next few days. This week from Pressure Sounds is a Bunny Lee compilation that is pure killer from the first track to the last. If you don't already have this one then it really should be near the top of your wants list. Made up from dubplates and alternative cuts, even the well known classics sound different. Enjoy the Festive Season and remember to keep that volume on Maximum!

Bunny Lee & Friends - Tape Rolling

Slim Smith The Time Has Come
I Roy & Augustus Pablo Devil's Brother In Law
Ernest Wilson Sentimental Man
Big Joe And King Tubby Rasta Train
Cornell Campbell I Wonder Why
U Roy Junior Two Ton Gulletto
John Holt Stick By Me
King Tubby A Wonderful Version
Cornell Campbell Give Me Love
King Tubby Straight To The Copycat Head
Busty Brown And The Clowns Soon I'm Gonna Make It
Horace Andy Man Next Door
I Roy Noisy Place
Leroy Samuels Trying To Wreak My Life
Delroy Wilson Any Heart Can Be Broken
Eric Donaldson Cherry Oh Baby
I Roy Festival Mash Up
Vin Gordon Riding For A Fall
Cornell Campbell My Confession
Slim Smith Turning Point

Yes indeed, some excellent tracks on that one and another that I need to re-visit.

Hope the bug is gone by tomorrow, Brig - in the meantime, enjoy the Irish Cream Liqueur!
