There is also a second Derrick Harriott volume coming out called Reggae, Funk & Soul 1969-1975, and also a Merritone compilation called Merritone Rock Steady 1: Shanty Town Curfew 1966-1967.

Ta, 99th! Forgot to post a link for that Del Harriott set!

https://www.kudosrecords.co.uk/release/dsrcd009/various-artists-derrick-harriott-reggae-funk-soul-1969-1975.html

Looks good! "Psychedelic Train" alone, makes this a worthwhile release!

Cool Cool

The Lyn Taitt is essential listening, at the least! Lyn, and Hux Brown are my two favourite guitar players! Wink

How could I forget Ernie Ranglin?! So, make that three favourites! Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

No gaps would be filled there, although I might be tempted to have on CD the several I only have on vinyl Wink

Nice one.

Kev gave me a copy of that CD about 7 or 98 years back...good quality stuff, if a little easy on the ear.

I have the majority on JG sets, Trojan offerings, and 45. However, there's around 5, I don't have. Smile

Definitely easy listening. I usually play this, and Ernie Ranglin, when I want to relax, or unwind. Great for bed time....And, dreaming of topless native girls, hand feeding you coconut, while giggling, so their bristols bounce....Mr. Green

Indeed! Wink

I'm now reminded, of a story, I think will make folks chuckle....

I brought home a waitress from one of my watering holes, while completely inebriated. In the middle of the night, I got up to use the loo. While walking across the room, I stepped on something cold, and squishy. From the light of the street lamps, and my nightlight, these things looked like chicken cutlets. Confused

I figured it were one of my flat mates, having a laugh. Anyway, I used the loo, then went back to bed. Woke up the next morning, to take a shower, and realised what the "cutlets" were for. The gal was making up, for what she didn't have....Not that it matters. But, one does not expect to step on "chicken cutlets" in the night.... Rolling Eyes
