Ha!

The thought of having the 5 shiny Jammy's LP's racked up at home does sound very appealing. Although the thought of shelling out £150+ doesn't ! This might have suited a 5 LP box set rather than individual releases.

I guess I'll base it on the strength of each release as to whether I purchase or not. That seems sensible... Smile

Dub Store's UK online shop has the 1st LP on sale for £30.84 - http://www.reggaerecord.com/en/catalog/description.php?code=950947

This is the link that Dub Store has been promoting via their social media accounts for the past couple of weeks. Maybe elsewhere will be slightly more/less but this will be the ballpark I think. Shocked

Sound reasoning. I love the Dub Store sets, I've gotten across the years. But, they're far too expensive for me, to hoover every single one of them up, until I can find them, cheaper, down the road.

AFAIK, the reason they are so expensive is due to the fact the good folks at DS, give the artists involved, a square deal.....At least, that's the impression I've been given. Smile

While I appreciate that the artists have been "sorted", I couldn't justify paying such a price.

I can see that logic....However, I do like knowing, that the high price I am paying, is going for whom I want it to....However, I don't have deep enough pockets, so I pick and choose. I had no problem parting with the dosh, for the Patsy & Stranger set! Smile

King Jammys Dancehall 2 comming soon!

Few hours ago Steadfast Records shared on their facebook page this:
Quote:
You should know all about the first volume by now, but coming up already from Dub Store Records on March 10 is the second! And since the first was really a re-release, this is far more exciting. »Digital Roots & Hard Dancehall 1984-91« features 20 cuts, of which 15 are vocals and 5 dubs. The material comes from well known names like Dennis Brown, Cornell Campbell, Wailing Souls, Pad Anthony, Admiral Tibet... Tracklist looks real nice & strong.

Some info should be also here, however i cant access that page Sad

That guy is always the first with announcing new releases. Surprised

But I'm gonna (partly) beat him to the punch with a couple of more here, because there are actually three more Jammy's releases listed on Amazon:

King Jammys Dancehall 3: Hard Dancehall Murderer 1985-1989: http://www.amazon.co.uk/King-Jammys-Dancehall-Vol-1985-1989/dp/B06W2G3YGD
King Jammys Dancehall 4: Hard Dancehall Lover 1985-1989: http://www.amazon.co.uk/King-Jammys-Dancehall-Vol-1985-1989/dp/B06WP23SJC

As far as I've read, the Millions didn't release much and aside from LOVE OF JAH JAH CHILDREN (Downtown DT516), I only have MURMURING (Duke DU154), while 45cat lists a third:

All produced by GG, I don't know who the members were.
