RIP - fabulous voice, instantly recognisable and which always made me feel good about things!

Lead singer of Main Ingredient (although not the group's original lead singer)

The magnificent "Euphrates River" LP was for months "never far from the turntable" when I bought it 'pon release back in 1974.

To me the Main Ingredient had 2 great songs tjt had reggae versions

Everybody Plays The Fool - Chosen Few

Just Don't Wanna Be Lonely Freddie McGregor

The original versions were pretty good too

Marcia Griffiths did a reggae version with Lloyd Charmers, that's getting a bit worrying as I only mentioned her in relation to Boston Jack the other day Shocked
