Nor me. A spoof? We need a muso to tell us if he's playing the right chords!

It's meant to be Kosher. I believe he can play guitar.

I've seen him with one in a few pics but wondered whether it was a prop or that his skills were limited. 'Apache' isn't the easiest tune to pick.

I quite enjoyed that - and as Marc says, APACHE isn't an easy one.

Looks legitimate to me....He plays a mixture of open chords, before moving up the neck, to play them, at a different octave, to give them, a slightly different pitch. I used to do the same, during my band days. Notice around the 2:04 minute mark, Cliff makes a few mistakes, Hank would not have made. Also, the trills that Cliff plays, he nails almost perfectly....Hard to fake that. Wink

Great footage! Love the humour, and the segway! Very Happy

Cliff really recovers well from his fluffs, and it's a surprisingly good performance. But I couldn't see him being proficient enough to play while singing, unless it was a one chord job.

Great observations! I play guitar, the same way, Cliff does, in this video. Lots of concentration. I can sing backing vocals, but not for long. I do fine, on the one-chord jobs, though. Smile

I suspect that as he did a decent "job" on APACHE, it would only have been a matter of practice and just generally getting used to doing it before Cliff became proficient at singing and playing at the same time.

...and who'd have thought the leather-necked one would get as many consecutive "column inches"...indeed a topic in a forum such as this?

You would hope so....Tried as I might.....I flat out stink, with multi-tasking, so have never been able to sing, and play, at the same time....FWIW, ma was a math teacher.....Guess what my worse subject, was? Mr. Green
