A great array of tunes. 100% killer, no filler. The labels represented, are a who's who, of quality music. This is the stuff, I partly grew up on, thanks to a family, that loves a wide variety of music, so this was a wonderful trip, down memory lane!

Thanks for letting us, know, about this list, Andy! Cool Cool Cool

Inspired to post these, thanks to this massive playlist:

Essential:

https://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Big-Beat-The-Dave-Bartholomew-Songbook/release/7200487

Tony Rounce, did the liners, and they are very good. The music, speaks for itself. Wink

https://www.discogs.com/Various-Early-Rappers-Hipper-Than-Hop-The-Ancestors-Of-Rap/master/566834

A German import(unless you're living in Germany Mr. Green ). You can see, how all of it, lead up to the birth of Hip-Hop. I'm not a fan of Hip-Hop, but I do enjoy the ride, leading up to it. Wink

"Indian Love Call" by Ernie Freeman, has been taken down....Try this one(it's too good, not to hear):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmPcP8nXr2g

Clocks in, just under 2 minutes. Not long enough! A real groover, that swings!
Cool Cool

Tommy McCook covered this, with his SuperSonics, inna Rocksteady style. A very cool, laid back, approach, which even slower, show's what a great melody, this one is! Wink

Here's Jackie Wilson's vocal cut:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-5ZMASweaU

Pure class, this one, peoples. Smile

Top drawer, Andy (I still haven't listened yet, but have had a scan of the list.

Many I know, some I know but can't remember and a few that I have yet to know.

A very small number I have on vinyl - the others I do hjave are on CDs.
