Hi Andy. It was good seeing you all. I was a bit late, but I made it. Didn't want to let you guys down. This time it was a real pleasure meeting you all.

There were several other significant figures this time including the legendary BB, Lady Lex and the other lovely singer Carolene Thompson.

Locksley was fantastic. Completely unassuming and a wealth of knowledge... Smile

Completely agree - and a great turnout with the most ram up Pecking's I've ever seen Very Happy

It's been a brilliant day all round - sorry I missed saying my goodbyes to Steve and Thomas. Andy and I were just about to head off and then along came Locksley, and we spent a good while (but not long enough) talking to him outside the shop without going back in.

It looks like another great meeting of the Trojan-ites. Would have loved to have talked to Locksley. Could never understand - why they were never much much bigger in reggae. 'Check Out Yourself' is my favourite from them.

Well done Joe. You are truly the man with the plan! Organisation skills second
to none!!!

Looking forward to seeing what tunes were gathered at Peckings!

Take care, all the very best
Ray

Let's not forget that Vivian Jones was also there - a great pleasure to him and have a chat.

Thanks Ray - very kind, but I'm just the FB event creator.

It's those who turn up on the day that make it what it is, i.e., it's the people, famous or not, who make it - having decent beer helps as well, of course...

...and decent weather (thanks Pete Mr. Green)

...and the tunes!

Cool Cool

I'll post my haul (around 30, I should think - I've yet to "inspect" them properly and look forward to a decent spin over the course of the week Cool) in the "Recent acquisitions..." topic for a change...

Cool
A couple there I miissed out on - the Gregory tune and MY GIRL I wouldn't have minded, but didn't see another copy of either - and like a fool, I didn't think to ask one of the boys.

That Itals is a mean tune - I think I landed a copy!!

Never got to chat to him but Stephen T and I were discussing what tunes he'd cut:

I was right about recalling 'Jah Music' - absolute cracker of a tune. But confusingly, there was a Vivian Weathers around at the same time, who cut an album for Front Line and a handful of 45s.
