Now confirmed. RIP Mr Cassidy.
Have to say I rather liked some of his material, particularly his cover of 'How Can I Be Sure' - such a great song. Wife was a big fan too (aged ten and a bit). |

Would that shop have been Record Corner per chance? |

Would that shop have been Record Corner per chance? | I can't remember - I'll trolley over to FB and see if I can find the post | Found it (surprisingly quickly!):
On Facebook, Tony Rounce wrote: | He wasn't my favourite artist by any means, but he did make some very good and occasionally great pop records - records that were, like those of Tony Orlando and Dawn, an enjoyable extension of the classic Brill Building-era pop of the 60s.
This one didn't make it to 45 here, but we used to sell loads of US import copies when I worked in P & J Records back in the day.
I've still got my copy.
I wonder if all those predominantly teenage girls who bought it from P & J's in Walthamstow and Hackney still have theirs? |

Ah yes, P&J. I remember Tony posting a photo of himself standing outside it circa 1972.
I rather liked 'Blind Hope' but can't say I was bowled over by it - a bit too stoppy- starty for me, but I'm sensing it could be a grower - and I see it was on the flipside of 'Could It Be Forever', which I do really like. |

R.I.P. David Cassidy
I really remember watching David Cassidy on the early 1970's tv show The Partridge Family.
Which was shown in the UK on ITV if my memory serves.
IMO, the best song David Cassidy did was 'I Think I Love You'...
The Partridge Family opening theme tune...
