Right now I have a copy of Gregory Isaacs' "Extra Classic" CD - the original LP, plus dub versions of most of 'em.

I was having a bit of difficulty (yet again) coming up with Gregory questions, so while pondering my albums and stuff I came up with something slightly different Confused

I file my LPs and CDs in alphabetical order, so my poser this time is - which 2 reggae artists are currently alphabetically before and after Gregory Isaacs in my LP filing rack and which 2 reggae artists are currently alphabetically before and after Gregory Isaacs in my CD filing rack?

An example would be that if I filed Gregory in amongst my pop/rock albums the answers would be:

LPs: Inter-Galactic Touring Band and Jan & Dean
CDs: Human League and Japan

...for Soul etc.:
LPs: Intruders and the Isley Brothers
CDs: Incognito and the Isley Brothers

...for Jazz:
LPs: Leon Huff and Ahmad Jamal
CDs: Wayne Henderson & the Next Crusade and Bob James

...for Reggae etc.:
LPs: ???
CDs: ???

Answers should be just like the above...

This time the first 3 guesses ar free ones, after that, the usual rules apply - 3 guesses allowed, not in the same post and not consecutively following your previous guess Wink

No clues just yet Confused

Well, I'm using my own collection as a starting point, though as my collection is entirely CDs, I'll have to make a complete guess. But to get the ball rolling:

LPS
Before: I-Roy
After: Israel Vibration

CDs
Before: Hudson, Keith
After: Jiving Juniors

And a guess from me:

LPs:
Ijahman
Jah Lion

CDs:
Inner Circle
Israel Vibration

That's considering I Roy being listed as an "I" and not an "Ir", and that you don't have any Barry Isaac discs!

Btw, I hadn't seen mr. Selector's choices above before my post, although we have the same names on the CD list! Wink

Thanks for the free tries fellows - I can say that 2 artists have been identified, but I won't say just yet whether these have been put into the correct LP or CD category Confused

That's the free ones done with then...

BTW - good idea Chris to use your own collection as a starting point Wink

Just for a bit more insight into other music I have in my collection, the actual albums that Gregory (had he not been a reggae artist) would have been filed between in my collection were:

...for Pop/Rock:
LPs: Inter-Galactic Touring Band (Inter-Galactic Touring Band) and Jan & Dean (Best Of...)
CDs: Human League (Best Of...) and Japan (Quiet Life)

...for Soul:
LPs: Intruders (Super Hits) and the Isley Brothers (This Old Heart Of Mine)
CDs: Incognito (Who Needs Love?) and the Isley Brothers (Essential Collection)

...for Jazz:
LPs: Leon Huff (Here To Create Music) and Ahmad Jamal (Night Song)
CDs: Wayne Henderson & the Next Crusade (Back To The Groove) and Bob James (Collection)

...I also have a handful of German Karneval and general classical music albums...but there's nowhere appropriate in these Confused Very Happy

In my cd collection Gregory Isaacs is framed by the Inspirations & Israel Vibration.
Now I only have to find out who's the 4th artist, and which is vinyl and cd.
Damn, you got some tricky questions, Zap Laughing

Slight mistake on my part...actually 3 out of the 4 artists have been identified Embarrassed, though I won't say yet if they're in the right place.

...still at least no one's wasted any of their tries yet Wink

ReggaeFire's first try joins Ekki's first try and Alcibiades' free try in having 2 out of the 4 in the correct place Smile

There is still one more artist to identify - i.e. that has not been mentioned yet Wink

Right, back in with a second try. I'm going to assume that Jah Lion (Lloyd) and Israel Vibration are the correct ones and guess that I-Roy is the other correctly identified artist (though guess that depends on how he's indexed in your collection, Joe). Which leaves one as yet unidentified. I think, although Keith Hudson was probably wrong, that it may well be another "H" so am going for Peter Hunnigale. So:

LPs

Before: Hunnigale, Peter
After: Jah Lion (Lloyd)

CDs

Before: I-Roy
After: Israel Vibration
