This is a wonderful record. You have very good taste if I may say so Zap!
My tune of the day is:
'Black Starliner Must Come' - by Culture
They could sound pretty good back to back I reckon
Respect

Africa We Going - Trevor Hartley JA Black Roots seven inch.
I'd completely forgotten about this beauty until I pulled it out for the Port-O-Jam session last Friday night.
Superb roots vocal with a great horn line. Nice dub as well.
Would've been described as a 'heavy stepper' back in its day.
Also playing Lloyd Charmers - African Zulu - soon to be out on the Hippy Boys set. Went down a storm at the Port-O-Jam session. |

"Silver Dollar" by Tommy McCook and the Skatalites, off my brand new Trojan Ska Box Set, which is making me most sunny on this wintry (it snowed this morning!) day... |

I'm not a great fan of On-U stuff, though I always loved Gary Clail's Human Nature (circa 1991) and also bought the album...another tune that tickles me on On-U is the Barmy Army's Mind The Gap...containing a "legendary" quote from squeaky-voiced Alan Ball from a radio interview:
"...we've had some really great times, we've had some tuff times as well...but that's football"
