So, inspired by another topic, I thought I'd put a poll up and see which tune has the least impressive singing Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

Have a listen and pick from these 4 memorable songs Laughing

1. Nat Cole - MY LOVE Pt. 1 - from 1970 and originally the B side to Rita Alston's POPCORN FUNKY REGGAE (Trojan TR7751), this features flat-as-a-pancake singing and Rita (a girlfriend of Nat's at the time, I think) "La-la-la-ing" away to herself in the background...Confused

http://media.putfile.com/Nat-Cole---My-Love-Pt-1

2. Peggy - ALL KINDS OF EVERYTHING - a version of Dana's 1970 Eurovision winner - need I say more Shocked

http://media.putfile.com/Peggy---All-Kinds-Of-Everything

3. Joe White - ME & MRS. JONES - a version of Billy Paul's timeless Philly classic. The vocals start badly and fall away Exclamation

http://media.putfile.com/Joe-White---Me--Mrs-Jones

4. Nola Campbell - SEARCHING FOR MY BABY - a version of Bobby Moore's 1966-ish Soul classic, this version (Gas GAS107) will have you reaching for the <Stop> button rather quickly Very Happy

...I think I know where my vote's going....Wink

Sadly my bizarro computer setup is not allowing me to hear any of these masterpieces. So I voted for "Me and Mrs. Jones" as it seems like it would be the greatest sacrilege.

Wow. I gotta go with Nola Campbell as the bottom of that barrel. Though the Nat Cole song gives it quite a run!

Here's one of my all time favorite performances, a web-only Super Cat special from a few years back.

Arguably Steve - Nola's cringeingly-bad workover of what is possibly a bigger classic than Mr. Williams' tune might be an even bigger sacrilege Shocked

I haven't voted yet...Wink

Puh, that was a kind of torture.
But an easy pick in the end: Nola.

The Nat Cole is somehow pretty funny.

On my "Let's Catch The Beat" LP, the same-titled CD and the Beatles Tribute Box Set.

I must have a listen and see if it's worthy of another poll.

No clear winner to this one, yet - maybe I'll have a knockout and then a "sing off"...Wink

I'll let this run for a few more days , then announce the proud Confused winner.

I'll probably run another one and will include Dandy's "Yesterday" Wink
