Now there's a surprise Laughing - a Box Set won the monthly poll Shocked

Thanks once again for voting - here's how it went...

1st. Trojan Slack Reggae Box Set 63.64% 14 votes
2nd. Rebel Music - A Reggae Anthology Vol. 2 27.27% 6 votes
3rd. Jah Wobble - Heart And Soul 9.09% 2 votes

3rd. A tired selection - none are worth a vote - 3 votes

So it's onwards to April and 3 differing compilations to choose from...

The situation regarding April's releases still prevails, Paul Sad

...and May's - I'm not even sure what these releases are, so I can't put the poll up and haven't voted in this one yet...Sad

I'm the same Joe. Some releases I never get to see and I'm supposed to be reviewing and Dj'ing the bloody things.
Sadly one member of the publicity staff is as much use as a chocolate teapot and that's where the trouble lies.

Of course though I'm disappointed for you, neither yours nor my "situation" makes the other person feel better, does it, Mike? Confused

Maybe I'll have a "nice parcel" waiting for me when I get back home later Wink

However, in the meantime, I'll continue to breathe normally Confused Very Happy

Polls are currently deferred

I haven't seen what May's releases are (for sure), I haven't received them (still haven't seen April's either) and I can't be bothered to try and hunt them down in the Trojan site...

I wonder if this inactivity is related to the possible Universal deal - or just apathetic staff. Sadly my guess would be the latter. Crying or Very Sad

Based on past "performance", I'd have to agree, Mike...

I've just bought April's, May's, June's and July's releases...a bit behindhand I know, but I'll put up the monthly polls once I figure out which album was released when Shocked Very Happy

Though I nearly voted for Ken, I went for I Roy - he was on fine form there, in the main "massive" bonus tunes and some tuff rhythms...Cool Cool

...having already committed my vote to I Roy, I should point out that DOWN INA TENEMENT YARD works surprisingly well - about half are 12" or - and overall, I thought the tunes worked well together - for me, there was a good mix of tunes I had and those I didn't - with Jr. Dread's A WAT DAT (a weirdly wonderful extended Black Ark Scratch production) being a new winner to me
