i love the maytones. does that album have mostly early material? i bought an album of theirs that has mostly 70's reggae which is good but i love their earlier sounds. granted the cd was in a 2 pack with the maytals and was a budget album.

I think you need the Maytones' Trojan CD comp. 'Brown Girl In The Ring' for the early stuff, like 'Loving Reggae' and 'Billy Goat'. Issued around `98 I guess but should still be findable.

I guarantee you won't be disappointed by this one Sploomy. In fact, the Maytones are one of my top groups as well.

Now, if only we had an Eric Morris CD Crying or Very Sad

Yeah- Brown Girl is where it is at, but I love all Vernon's stuff. His latest CD is in the mail right now- I will be sure to post a review. He did the whole thing at his own studio so it ought to be good
Go have a look and support the man- he is a living musical treasure

A few words on the album would be appreciated, Dave mate...

...though if it has to be bought via Paypal, then I can forget it...Mad

Cool

Never bought it back in 1970 - but got a Trojan CD a few years back - a few of the tunes are also on the Joe The Boss CD, I think...
