I heard Sir Lord Comics' Django Shoots First today on a CD I haven't played (literally) in years.

If you ask me he sounds like King Horror

I've always thought it was Lord Davey although Laurel did sometimes voice the tracks himself but I'm sure LA didn't provide the vocals to "Loch Ness Monster"

After all this time I've found Take 2 of Loch Ness Monster on the cd Exclamation
It's track number 26 but only reads 25 on the digital display.
It's like the Jkan anthem on the box set you have to ff it.

I remember reading some notes on a youtube video where someone asked Laurel about this king horror mystery and he replied that he was not King Horror, it was one of his friend Evril Davey who were a calypso singer.

He chose him because he had a dark voice as you can hear on "Lochness monster".

Also, it seems that you can hear him on "Sausage" Baldhead Growler on Trojan Calypso.

Would be interesting to get the lowdown from the compilers of 'Fire' - they must have had some reason for including it on there, unless it was a bit of opportunism.

Great point! And from what I understand, there are still loads of LA material still awaiting to see the light of day....maybe Cherry Red will issue this material and shed more light on who's who... Cool

<Grunt> Which CD, Pete?

Although have the LOCH NESS MONSTER L.P., I don't have the CD - is it that one?

I have the tune on the "Laurel Aitken Says Fire" and "Skinhead Reggae Box Set" CDs...

It's that CD Joe Smile It seems to take an eternity to reach it from track 25 though and I found it to be barely different from the released take.
