I am bringing this back up. "King Horror" on cutting blade IS NOT Laurel Aitken. "King Horror" on Loch Ness Monster without a doubt is. It's got to be! Distinctly two different singers.

The answer to that question might be on this programme:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007tj7z
If like me you live outside the Midlands I think you can catch it on-line after it's broadcast.

We have Freesat, as we can't receive Freeview here (even though I can see the transmitter from the garden! Rolling Eyes ). It's basically free channels but using a dish instead of an aerial.
I watched the prog earlier, and it's a nice little piece. Wink

That was just a trailer.... The actual piece was half the show (about 15 minutes). Interviews with lots of the local 2-Tone faces, and a certain Roy Ellis.

Still glad they let you see the clip rather than finding it somewhere within the full half hour.

I didn't see it but am a little less disappointed now I know it wasn't the entire show. I'd like to catch that exhibition if it happens.

Thought I'd resurrect this one as I was just listening to the Lochness Monster CD and it struck me again that the title track and 'The Hole' are by different King Horror's (although it starts out on a softer note, 'Cutting Blade' ends up with the same gruffness as 'Lochness'). I think 'Slave Driver' on the Reggae label is by the same guy as 'The Hole' (i.e. E Davey).

I just had a quick run through the other KH titles:

Ghost Hour (Reggae label) - Lochness Guy
Frankenstein (Nu-Beat) - Lochness Guy
Dracula Prince of Darkness - not convinced this is Lochness Guy (and that means this one can't be Laurel - he wouldn't have recorded for Mansano would he?)
Slave Driver (Sioux) - Nothing to do with any of the King Horror's. I'm sure this is a cash-in version which helps us in as much as it lists 'E Davey' as the artist on the Reggae label version.

So potentially three KH's then? Will we ever sort this one out (not forgetting the identity of Tiger)?

Revisiting this thread again also reminded me of the BBC East Midlands programme. Anyone know if it's available anywhere?

I read that Clive 'Azul/Lizzard' Hunt was the Tiger vocalist... I'm not sure that's correct Shocked

Yes, hasn't it been concluded that there were 3 KHs?

Also, not only more than one "Tiger" (most probably), but also a second "Tiger", I think from the 80s.
