And another poll.

If these 7" singles were to be released, would the idea of these being in box sets (like the Haunted House, "birth of trojan" or Lee Perry singles box sets) appeal - if there were 6 or 7 in a box?

Well, individual sevens would be better Cool Even if heavy press with properly reworked labels (i recall Alton Ellis Treasure Isle reissue around 2003/4?) Laughing

But I would also like these box sets to be in the form of CD and not just vinyl...

Less so for the vinyl, Wesley - more so because of its thinness and the shoddy-ish quality of the label reproductions.

Mine is treasured.

Those reissues were really poor.

I voted no mainly because I try to go for originals but I'm also open for GOOD reissues, e.g. the japanese Rockashacka ones which are a bit too pricey though.

Same here... I mean there are some great releases and oportunitties... but if I can get it original... 100 times better.

At first when i saw the format idea about A/B i thought no.

But after a liittle thought I now think its a great idea if not too many in any particular box, ... 5 ??
but only IF the "rare" B side is a genuine 7" version ... i.e. not used as a way of selling sometimes dubious "alternate takes" that plague CD's that re-issue so called "rarities"

I'm always glad to find nice re-issues ...
To steal an expression from the Northern Soul Scene

It's whats in the groove that counts Smile

Bring em on !

I personally wouldn't buy them but, putting self-interest aside, voted 'yes' as I like both the idea and seeing new vinyl issued.

It will be nice to have some of them, like "birth of trojan" Smile . Regarding other repress like the "Jetset records" they are very poor quality wise so it will be wonderful if they take that in consideration for this new ser of releases.
