In case anyone hasn't seen this, LC-H is looking for suggestions for what might be worth re-issuing...

In an extract from the above page, LC-H wrote:
In relation to a number of exciting forthcoming Trojan projects, we're currently trying to find out what Reggae fans consider to be the rarest and most collectable 7"s ever issued by the esteemed label since its creation in the Summer of '68.

Here's where to email suggestions:

My difficulty is that, while I know some tunes I'd like to see (re-)issued, maybe because I don't have it at all, or don't have it on a 7, I'm not experienced enough in hunting tunes down to have learned which tunes are rare.

Some of the likely candidates would be tunes that someone has mentioned (e.g. about a JA blank) "...produced by xxxxx, never got a UK release, AFAIK"

...that kind of thing.

Also, who knows for sure what's been re-pressed and what hasn't? ...I don't.

Gordon mentioned HOLD DOWN c/w WHO WILL SHE BE?

Shame it's a Crab label, so may not be "right" to use a Pama label.

...and then there's THE DRIFTER (also Crab)

I think 'Drifter' would be a no-no due to it being a Harry Mudie production.
I'd like to see a reissue of DUKE 7 on heavy vinyl;
DU 7 Paragons - Left With A Broken Heart // Paragons - Got To Get Away
with both sides as per the original Duke single. I think later issues of 'Left with a Broken Heart' (John Holt LP, Andy's 45 etc) are a different take.
This must be one of Reggae's best ever pairings...well worthy of a reissue.

...I forgot about that, Dave.

I suspect Rupie Edwards productions might also be difficult Confused

Another nice double sider would be;
Winston Francis - 'The Break' paired with 'Your Cheating Heart/It ain't (both appeared on the Revive box set). Not 100% sure of the artist credit for the B side though. Both were Disclick prods and are a) very rare and more importantly B) very good!

I wonder if the Island label should be up for consideration?

I'd pay 7 quid for re-issues of the early Joe Higgs Island/Coxsone tunes. Cool

At the moment, LC-H is concerned with the Trojan label itself, not the subsiduary imprints.
