...of course I only have volume 2...

Does anyone have (or can anyone do) a back and front cover scan for Music House volume 1, please?

LCD believes it could be used on an upcoming Trojan release (in the liner notes maybe, I'm not sure)

If anyone can do this - 4 scans for front and 4 for the back (top and bottom left and top and bottom right corners) - 300dpi resolution would be great.

"They" have software that can stitch these together...

Any help appreciated - I believe these are needed ASAP.

Many thanks indeed.

Here's the album

What a shame I'm still not working up town, where we had a massive flatbed scanner that could get the whole of the LP cover scanned in one go!
My new scanner at home, has a crap design, where the scanning area is recessed, so when you put an LP sleeve in it the lid DOES NOT close flat, hence I can't even do a 4-parter for you.

If the sleeve is going to be used as part of the sleeve notes and not for the actual cover of the CD, a decent digital camera shot should suffice.

Thanks Dave - Pete (Rude Pete) has already tried that, but LC-H tells that scans are better.

...and thanks for the tip regarding scanners - I'll be needing one before too long, but hadn't thought too hard about what exactly I'd want yet (i.e. NOT a recessed bed!)

I downloaded the driver & software for my scanner last night. It's working, and it say's there's no problem in Control Panel, but I can't find any way of actually starting a scan! I guess I must be missing something from the "front end"... If only I could find the installation disk! Rolling Eyes

Is there nothing in Start ~~> Programs, Pete?

I assume you've installed the downloaded software?

Pete,

have you tried going to the file menu, click on 'import' and it should have the scanner ID in the list. Import scanner and hey presto! Scans a go-go! Cool

This process has to be repeated for each scan that you do. Cool

I hope that helps.
