You must tell us DT (a) how you've managed to pick anything decent up in there and (b) how you left feeling the warm glow of customer satisfaction.
I did get a decent Louisa Marks album in there for a fiver in one of the huge piles on the floor but, quite pleased with it, I never went back. |

Haggle is conveniently close to Flashback, which can be worth a look. It's now a complete rarity to find two shops within a square mile of each other. I don't care for Haggle and as Flashback has a web presence there's probably not much point in me making the journey. |

Bosssounds, have never been to Haggle Vinyl personally. I order a couple of Reggae 12" from the Haggle website, which i received two days later. The 12" were Sugar Minott and The Naturals. |

Thanks DT. Actually, the London shops that are left - even Haggle - are pretty good if you collect 12"s - there's always a decent selection. I don't myself but I could have a nice little collection by now. |

CDs only, but always a decent selection!
Does anyone know if Rebel Music (nr. Barbarossaplatz in Cologne) is still going - I'd heard it was well worth a visit, but haven't got there yet. |

Thanks, Thermos - yes "Music rebel" not "Rebel Music".
I'd had a good look at Google Maps (street view) in the area I was fairly certain it was, but couldn't find it.
At least I know not to go try and find it next time I'm in Cologne. _________________ Play it nice and cool, son. Nice and cool! You know what I mean.

I still haven't been in, Gary - though I haven't forgotten the "Gary sent me!" instruction
Music Search in Chertsey has gone - I think it's a key-cutting place now - I bought a few nice pieces in there now and again (when it sold secondhand records and CDs!!!), including an original (according those who know over at Pama) red Coxsone for 25p:

Kingbee records on Wilbraham Road in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Greater Manchester.
I went there all the time in the 90s/00s. Still very much alive and still very much full of soul, r&B, ska and reggae (among others). Les is a decent guy too. Has everything from a £1 box up to rare collectors pieces.
Haven't been since 2006 but I have no reason to doubt it is still excellent...
Another I haven't been to for a few years, but Big Apple Records in Nottingham was good (traditional vinyl shop) ran by Steve Jukes (used to be a well known reggae DJ but sold his collection around 2004) who was also a bit of a character... _________________ Back home...just need to swap my trilby for a clth cap and buy a whippet. |

Not about a Reggae shop but just an opportunity to post a mention of a piece on Spillers in Cardiff in today's Observer - showing how a shop is trying to keep the spirit of the indie shop going and also a taster for the next Record Shop Day. |
