Over at Pama, members are listing their favourite albums. Many are fairly predictable; much of it being 'high brow' music. Very few have included any real embarrassments.

I'm sure we all have tunes that we own and/or love that we wouldn't ordinarily own up to. So who's brave enough to confess?

The following track comes from one of the earliest albums I owned when I was about 5 or 6. I must confess I do still like it:

The Chipmunks - 'Whistle While You Work' (It rocks!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTJMZiE0yv4

There are many others I could include in this category.

Get it out in the open - I know I have!

I don't think I have anything quite as "embarrassing" as The Chipmunks in my closet... But, here's a few that might raise a few eyebrows (or not!!) Surprised

Will do Pete. Can you recommend anyone?

Yours aren't too embarrassing; are you sure you're being totally honest here?

I've probably got worse than the Chipmunks (if it's possible) if I dig deep enough! Shocked

Yep.... I do have a Happy Traum LP (from when I saw him at The Isle Of Mull music festival many years ago), but couldn't find any of the tracks on YT.
As a kid I had Pinky & Perky multi-coloured 45's but they are long gone (thankfully).... I don't appear to have anything on a par with yours... Are you sure you like The Chipmunks?? Surprised Shocked

I didn't say I liked the Chipmunks, just one of their songs! Well two if you include 'Witch Doctor' by David Seville (their creator).

I never remembered the Chipmunks. For me, it was Pussy Whillum, Fred Barker and Wally Whyton. And I even had the Pye Golden Guinea EP from (I think) Woman's Own magazine.

I do - regulars on Children's Favourites in the very early 60s.

...and a couple of hits as well.

I remember reading something about David Seville being the first artist to have hits under different act names as a singer, in a duo and also in a trio - something like that.

PIGEON? It probably flew home.

I'm sure I have ebough embarrassing musical likes, but off hand) I can't think of one that I still have, I still like AND still listen to.

...I bought several early Alan Parson's Project LPs (though not the Turn Of A Friendly card that Pete posted above), but wouldn't have rated them as embarrassments.

...nor the slightly poncey Air "chill out" albums - I have them all, I think.
