Just picked up in my second hand shop a new copy of sister Big stuff on sunspot records, check out the website and it shows only two releases, yet my cd is number 6 are there any other Prince buster releases.

It doesn't look like it,

Issue 3 is missing from this Juno list (which is Hippy Boys, "Reggae With The Hippy Boys"), none of the others are Buster-related.

I thought I'd read somwhere that Sister Big Stuff was the first - I hope there'll be more Wink

I really like the 'Sister Big Stuff' cd. I just can't bring myself to like 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' though. To me it just drags on!

I do like Jimmy London's version however.

Agreed... It's one of Buster's worst vocal efforts!! The rhythm is a killer mind you.... Cool

I have 2 copies of the original vinyl, as the one I bought new, became warped over the years, so I replaced it.... Obviously I bought the cd too... Rolling Eyes

On a par with the irretrievably awful TRY A LTTLE TENDERNESS and one or two Beatles' covers.

I'm a big Buster fan, but have to agree.. His "Hey Jude" is also not a "classic".. Surprised Rolling Eyes

I like much of Buster's Reggae output, but Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da doesn't do much for me. Then again, I don't really like any version of the song very much.

He also "executed" 007 (heard that at the last Club Rude! - had been lucky enough to NOT hear it for years)

However, Buster turned out classic after classic for most of the 60s Cool

Yes - the depths of those stinkers more than outweighed by the dizzy heights of the killers...
